Our advisory group
Remaining true to its origins, f⁶it relies on the families we serve to steer our work, making sure our activities remain relevant to those who use them.
f⁶it’s amazing Advisory Group, made up of a group of parents, carers and disabled young people, that represent different disabilities, and age groups of children and young people who use our services. Our Advisory Group meets three times a year to discuss our activities and feed back to our board of Trustees. They also conduct an annual survey amongst our f⁶it community who have attended our activities to ensure everyone gets the chance to contribute.

Stephanie Hartley
I am the proud Mum to a neurodiverse daughter who also has moderate learning difficulties, global developmental delay, a speech and language processing disorder and an undiagnosed neurological gross motor disorder. I work part time for a US headquartered bank on the trading floor in a client onboarding role. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, going to the theatre, gardening and walking.
Laura Meader
Laura is currently one of two co-chairs for f⁶it's advisory group, which meets at least three times a year to provide feedback to the board of trustees on its current and planned activities for families in the f⁶it community. Laura's background is in tourism and marketing, having worked for a local authority for over 20 years, before pursuing her dream of directly helping people to improve their well-being, through the complementary and holistic therapy of reflexology. Laura has lived experience of the challenges presented to families with additional needs, as her older teenage son was born with a life-limiting genetic condition, which means he needs full support in all aspects of his life. Laura is passionate about the health of young people and the planet, and about how we can make all our communities fully inclusive spaces.
Our aim is to ensure that our community remains at the heart of everything we do.
