Our activities take place in accessible venues in South West Surrey but we have no borders and welcome families from across Surrey and beyond.
Please find details below about our current venues.

What to expect at activities
Please use our handy FAQs below to find out what to expect at our activities. If there is anything else you’d like to know, please contact us directly.
-
Our activities take place at selected accessible venues in South-West Surrey.
Most of our fitness activities and clubs take place at The Edge Leisure Centre in Haslemere.
Our leisure activities, family activity days and parent/carer support events take place at different venues located in Guildford and surrounding areas.
Visit the ‘Our Venues‘ section on the ‘What to Expect’ page for more detail on our venues and accessibility.
-
Other children and young people with disabilities and additional needs together with their parents, carers, siblings and/or friends.
Qualified coaches/teachers to lead and explain the activities.
Facilitator/representative from f⁶it, who will welcome you and answer any queries on the day.
Volunteers, including DofE students & professional volunteers such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists and/or speech and language therapists.
-
We are pleased to offer free taster sessions for many of our activities - simply tick the ‘free taster session’ box on our booking platform, Pembee.
A minority of our activities (mainly the less frequent ones) do not allow this but if you are unsure and would like more information before you book then please do get in touch.
-
A parent/carer needs to stay on site during the activity and are more than welcome to join in. However, you may ask one of the volunteers to help support your child or young person so you can chat to other parents or attend to siblings.
Please note that the personal care and safety of your child remains the responsibility of parents/carers.
-
Yes, absolutely! We understand the importance of flexibility and it is therefore ok for you to arrive late, leave early and/or take breaks during sessions as required.
-
Definitely! We actively encourage siblings and friends of the disabled young child/person to come and join in the fun. Please make a separate booking for them if they would like to participate as our activities only accommodate a certain number. If they want to spectate and not participate, then they are very welcome and there would be no charge.
For safety reasons, only frame users can play Frame Football, but we have a large hall and encourage non-frame users to play a match at the same time.
-
We are continuously expanding our portfolio of activities to ensure that we meet a wide range of needs. If you can’t currently find anything that is suitable for your family, please check back regularly for new opportunities or contact us with any suggestions.
-
Grants from our funders and generous donations from the public enable us to run the majority of our activities. We charge a small participation fee to help our running costs, which we believe to be in line with, or less than, an equivalent mainstream activity.
Please note that we will never refuse access to an activity on the grounds of cost, so if circumstances do not allow you to pay please just tick the relevant box when you book.
-
When you book an activity for the first time, we ask for a lot of information about your child’s disability and needs. This is so we can make sure that we provide you with the best possible support for your child and family when you come along. This information will be stored securely and will be shared only with those responsible for leading the group on a need to know basis. The good news is that once you have entered the details once, the booking site will remember you and you will not need to do this again.
-
We have a downloadable social stories available on each of the activity pages which you can use to prepare your child/young person. If you need to have a short introductory visit in addition, please contact us.
-
As a rule of thumb:
when you are spectating you do not need to pay, but you still need to book onto the activity as a ‘spectator’.
anyone participating in an activity needs to book and pay.
please note that there are some exceptions where adults need to pay e.g. for the Family Swim. This should be clear on our booking platform.
