Laura Baxter Appointed CEO of F⁶it

F⁶it is delighted to announce that Laura Baxter has been appointed as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st October.

Laura joined f⁶it eight months ago as Operations Manager, where she has played a key role in strengthening our operational systems and processes, and developing our communications. During this time, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to f⁶it's mission of delivering leisure activities that bring disabled children and their families together, and has earned the trust and respect of staff, trustees, and volunteers alike.

As CEO, Laura will lead f⁶it's strategic direction, working closely with our board of trustees, staff team, advisory group, and volunteers to build on the charity's strong foundations and continue expanding the impact we have on the families we serve.

Laura said: "I feel excited and privileged to have been given this opportunity, and I'm really looking forward to focusing on growing this incredible organisation - one that started small but has always had big ambitions."

Anel van de Merwe, said: "f⁶it began as a small idea with a big vision, and I couldn't be prouder of what it has grown into. Having worked closely with Laura, I have every confidence she is the right person to lead f⁶it into its next chapter. I'm delighted to be staying on as a trustee, continuing to support the organisation I founded, and I'm excited to watch it thrive under her leadership."
